Great opportunities at the 2027 World Exhibition in Belgrade

Belgrade. In Serbia, Austria is the second largest European investor with around €3 billion in direct investments. There are almost 700 branches of Austrian companies in Serbia. During a conversation with Jürgen Schreder, the economic delegate and head of Advantage Austria in Belgrade (responsible for Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia), he reported on the investment climate and economic development of the region. Large infrastructure projects are not only being built in the capital Belgrade, Austrian companies are also investing in other cities, such as Niš. The economic delegate also referred to the great opportunities for the Austrian economy in connection with the planned world exhibition in Belgrade in 2027.


Jürgen Schreder (left) has been Austria's economic delegate in Belgrade since 2023 and is also responsible for Montenegro and North Macedonia. Previously he was a business delegate in Budapest.
